I use the original Revs. I never liked the supports with the extended finger because it forces you to lift the ball all the time. I have arthritis and especially need the support when I flatten out my hand for spares. With the extended finger, I can't make a 10 pin.
If you don't get a lot of turn, this type of support will give you more revs and hook. Because they are kind of bulky, it will take you some time to get use to them because it changes your release and maybe your entire arm swing. When you're starting out, it will feel like your arm is one piece, from your shoulder to your fingertips. It took me about 6 months to really get the feel right when using such a support. Now I throw the ball very well and it's pretty easy to repeat shots. If you can, see if a friend will loan you one, or see if the pro shop will let you use it some before you have to purchase it.
