Longer to warm my A$$ up for bowling! :o :P ???

It's taking longer for me to get my blood flowing, muscles loose, and tension released. I have to spend at least 10 to 15 mins in the back room where the lockers are just to get ready. Or spend a game or a game and half to be ready.....sucks lol

I remember getting massaged before bowling the second shift league and doing well. Some times I never make to leagues.....those days are gone too!! :o

I'm 31 and I struggle with a tight lower back and my legs (quads) take a bit to get loose.

I am ALWAYS stretching before AND after bowling. 

I LOVE when I have a solid 15 minutes to warm up but the 5-10 minute ones....those first 3-5 frames I can be tight and timing/mechanics can be an issue on occasion until it all sync's up.  I have to put some extra emphasis on those few pitches of the evening.

hhahaha.. I've seen an older gent bring those folding massagers you strap to a chair to leagues.... got people fighting over it...

I got add this...When I was on vacay overseas, the local bowling alley had two pay massage chairs next to the front desk...lol...we need those..

At 33 the only thing I care about at this point is getting warmed up/lose. 10 minutes with 10 people on a pair doesn't work. I try walking around and doing some light stretches to get lose before practice and this seems to work.

50 here, and it takes 3 games to get loosened up, then it's time to go home.  Sore back, knee, hands, shoulder, neck...you name it, it hurts.  Still love the game, and it seems like the older you get, the more tolerant to pain you (I) get.

My (surgically repaired) shoulder needs a good stretch before bowling, for sure, but I'm finding that it can get tight while I'm bowling (usually during game 3).  It hurts to watch those young guys start with their first warm-up shots at full speed and revs, etc.  My first few shots are just trying to hang on to the ball and roll it forward...

Afterwards there's nothing better than ice to take down the internal swelling and relieve any pain from the activity.  I also need to keep the quads and hamstrings loose before, and during.  Getting old SUCKS! 

P.S.  Rico is absolutely correct in that if we don't stretch while away from the lanes it is difficult to imagine having much success in a few minutes before we bowl.

I can still get loose relatively quick.  Maybe 5 or 6 shots.  However, is stiffen up a bit between frames in 5 man competition.  I have learned to get on my feet before my turn and walk a bit.

best time for me to stretch regularly is when im done with a shower
emphasis on shoulders, have been doing it for many years since my karate days (long time ago) but i have no shoulder issues and 50 is coming quickly at me
now, the knees, that's another story

OSHA regulated too?  lol.... Anytime you can relax before bowling is better than being stuck in traffic on the way to leagues....
