Confirmation of an issue

A USBC youth member may not pace in an adult league because there's prize money involved at the end of the season, right?  I couldn't find anything quite related to this in the yearbook.

"Pacing" has no involvement with the money or the scores or points to be won or lost. I did that myself 2 weeks ago for the first time in maybe 25 years.

If there's anything that a "Youth" bowler might be able to do in an adult "money" league, it would, to my mind, be pacing. Of course, it could be explicitly forbidden in some rule somewhere. I don't know "youth" rules, but the USBC (ABC/YABA) does have some strange rules.

NOTE: There are no limits on scholarship amounts or entry fees (must be paid directly to the tournament director/manager) and reimbursement of actual travel expenses into the next higher level of competition or any tournament or event. (Receipts must be provided upon request.)

The prizes authorized by a state high school athletic association or a collegiate athletic association recognized by USBC and USBC Collegiate are not subject to the limitations of this rule.
 


Right from Bowl.com ^^^  

I assume that the USBC doesn't want youths bowling in adults "money" leagues because there is a form of gambling going on. Same way that minors aren't allowed in casino's even though they are not gambling. We don't want America's youth subjected to such perversions.

With that said, I'm leaving for Vegas on Tuesday with the whole family. My 8 year old wants to learn Craps.
