is there a rule about stopping league midway through the night and re oiling the lanes?

I wouldn't think so.
I would have loved for that to have happened any number of times the last few years at a couple of places I bowl.

If the lanes were oil before you bowl then they should wait after the league is done to oil again for second shift.What if someone shot a 300 and the they reoil the lanes afterward?Only time that the lanes were to be reoil is that if machine screw up for some reason and league can't bowl on them.If this has happen to you with the lanes being reooil after they stop the league.Then the president of the league should go to manager and find out what is going on.And also get a hold of your board of directors in your area.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.
