hand position
« on: August 29, 2004, 01:36:37 PM »
The other day my friend told me that a couple guys told him that if you hold the ball on the pads of your hand and come out of the ball with your hand at a 45 degree angle, you will get better carry.  So, my question is, "Is it better to have a thumbs up finish or a 45 degree finish? And what will the difference be in ball reaction?

don't know about your hand's mechanics, ligaments, bones and tendons, but if I hold my hand such that the exact back of my thumb is facing me and the thumb is pointed straight up, my fingers are already at a 45 degree angle.
