crack in ball - will this work?
« on: October 31, 2003, 12:23:09 AM »
I have a crack in my afterburner, about 4 inches long, nowhere near any other holes.  I have heard that you can drill like a 1/8 hole on each end of the crack to keep it from spreading.  True or false?

thanks

Like Rags, I have no idea if it would work or not...but each of those holes would have to be plugged in order to even come close to being legal...

This will work, you have to drill to the bottom of the crack, however I have always had good luck with Ebonite replacing the ball.  Contact them first before plugging and drilling the holes.

Bet a Dollar to a donut they'll replace the ball since the crack isn't near any holes.
