Helping a friend who's clipping the fingers and thumb....
« on: March 06, 2019, 12:13:07 PM »
Is punched a few full roller balls but they were just ok, and no big sets... and his reaction was seriously mellowed out.

he can get by with clipping his fingers and thumb and seriously averages like 230ish either way....

Knuckles the ball in the thumb.
The pso even has blueprint, and we can map it out right on blueprint but once we throw the ball on the lane, it clips everything.  and the trickier we go with the layout the worse it does...

Any suggestions? I was thinking coaching with his release would possibly help the situation the best..
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

Do you have his PAP really narrowed down? I would say just have to get creative with drillings that make sense in terms of moving the bowtie away from his gripping area.

A buddy of mine has a very odd PAP as he's a two hander, negative tilt  :o, high axis rotation. His track was rotated 90 degrees so he tracked on top of his finger holes. Our PSO had to get creative but it was well worth it. He's sees much better ball reaction now. Before he would have equipment roll out on him early.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend
IQ Tour

Putting the pin way up high above the fingers gets the roll lower, bow ties lower and flares away from my fingers, thumb for me. Use pin out balls like 4 inches or more.

With the new static weight rules shorter pin out balls can be easily used.  --  JohnP

Good point John. I just don’t like the look of having the cg above the fingers.  But I’m picky, so that may just be me. Plus you never see any tour guys on tv with that layout. Always pin outs.

Remember our mantra - cg no matter.  --  JohnP
