Both balls are pretty close outside of the Defiant Soul being a heavier rolling ball and the Brutal Nightmare is a bit sharper off the spot. You cant go wrong with either. Both are pretty good and they handle oil well. Maybe cover prep would separate them but I've seen two guys with similar styles throw each and the Defiant was about 3/2 more starting up quicker and rolling a bit heavier. That's just what ive seen, but in my opinion, there's no use in having both.

I agree with Righty.  Zero use in having both, though in my opinion there is an "x-factor" in favor of the Brutal.  The backend transition in my opinion is better, it's a stronger, more powerful move, and it keeps the pins really low.  Like Righty said, the Brutal is sharper off the spot, and actually hooks more overall, but on longer patterns I may go with the Defiant Soul, as it seems to roll earlier.  In my opinion, the Soul's core is better and a bit stronger, but the Brutal's cover is one of the best in bowling right now.  I drilled a Brutal last week, but the Soul is awfully good.  Lol, just got me thinking, Brutal cover with a Soul core would be the best ball ever made.
