DFW Area bowling 2/4
« on: January 05, 2007, 10:04:37 PM »
Just a little post that a fellow BR member, spike2112, will be down in the area visiting from 1/21-2/13.  He'll be in the OK City area but is travelling down to Dallas and staying with me for the weekend of 2/3-2/4.

I know we have some guys here that I know in the area like jkiser01, who will be there with us on 2/4, and perhaps I can get Charles to come out as he and Spike almost did a deal.  But is anyone else interested??

Plan was to originally grab some lanes at Plano Bowl early as they are cheap and stay for a good portion of the morning.  USA Bowl (the old Don Carter's off 35/635) is also a viable option as they've got cheap bowling too.

I may travel to OKC the next weekend, though not sure.  This would give a chance to meet some of the guys up in that area if someone wants to lend a hand with some place to meet at.

PM me or post your interest here.

Thanks!
G

Don,

I think the center opens at 8am. I would drive up from San Antone on saturday, so I would be good to go at 8a.

If we know we have a bunch, I'll talk to the manager and see about getting about 4-6 lanes cut off.  Pot bowling or such isn't usually a problem either...there are some wiley old guys there that know how to toss the ball.  Add Tracy to the mix....whoops...sorry....meant Charles....and we could have GAME ON.

Lanes open at 8 as mentioned.

I am not against meeting at the old DC as Don mentioned.  They tend to be a lot slower business wise.

And yep....gotta be a tightwad these days!!  That's why I keep that stash of old Fabs!!  Gonna get rich one day off them!!  LOL.

DC also lays out a pretty decent shot, it isn't bumper bowling on Sunday mornings.

I've got to do better at being incognito.  I'll try, we usually try and get out to Plano on Sunday nights, so my wife can bowl too.  Besides, I just started up after being off for 5 years, so things are a little rusty..

gsback,

The pot bowling is just for us br.com guys, not those old codgers that bowl up there!! LOL.. Its not mandatory I just thought it would be fun to do a buck a game with the br.com bunch and then team up and do some doubles action..

I am sure Joe can set us aside 4 lanes. That should be plenty..

JK

PS: Great idea to do this by the way!!

8 am??? Dear lord, I might have to curb my Long Island Iced Tea intake the night prior!

Saturday is hot-chicks-at-the-bar night: unfortunately my car gets the women, not my bowling.

See ya'll there.

Getting inebriated in Lower Greenville area, more than likely. There's always ladies around, it just depends on how much fun I want to have
