Diandra Asbaty and the Bikini issue...

Let me start this off by stating i think she is a great rep for Bowling and has represented the USBC and Womens Bowling very proudly in the states and internationally as well.  We all know she has a cuteness factor that is Katie Couric like.  But what has her posing in a Bikini have to do with bowling?  Is USBC selling these girls out?  The USBC gives them make-overs to attempt to Glam them up and then Asbaty in the Bikini?  Maybe i am just silly but it hit me wrong?  I mean what's next, WRW in a Codpiece if the mens tour suffers?

I can't see anything wrong with that picture. Lots of women wear bikini tops in public during the summer, and even more, outside, doing yard work and the like. Now...if she were wearing that while bowling....it would kick up ratings quite a bit, but then it would be a reason to question what was going on. She happens to be cute and an excellent bowler who could whip my behind with one hand tied behind her back....in bowling! Bowling! Get your minds out of the gutter (it's getting crowded!)

She obviously has a killer body (which I am sure requires a bit of work to maintain), and if she does not mind puting it out there for all to see, then what is the harm.

You guys are all crazy with this topic. Diandra who I have known for 10 yrs now is a great ambassador for our sport! She is a great spokesperson/representative for USBC, Brunswick, Turbo 2N1, and all the other things she promotes. Oh yea and she can bowl too!!

So there was a small clip of her in a bikini. Yes, she is very attractive! And I know Diandra is extremely smart and thought this one out very carefully. If she felt this was going to ruin her reputation with bowling or harm her position in anyway, she would not of done it.

I feel this in no way does harm to bowling, if anything it adds a little extra to the women's side of bowling. Like others have said look at other sports where they wear next to nothing or the women of the sport have photo spreads in FHM, Maxim, etc...

Big deal...she's in a bikini. Go to a beach. You'll find plenty of good looking women in bikinis.

Maybe it was to try to get more men to watch the sport, but I think that's just ridiculous. It was just showing all of the big-name women having fun, and she just happened to be in a bikini in that one.

I admit, she was cute and it surprised me when they showed it, but it wasn't a big deal to me like some are taking it. She is attractive, but I thought Vargas was more attractive and she bowled a heck of a first game, which should be what matters to the bowling community...

But yeah, she was pretty hot in the bikini.

Guys i talked to Diandra about this very topic. I was concerned that the focus on this event would be more on looks than talent. Thats why some women ( who will remain nameless ) were turned down, when they asked about this event. All of the girls were happy with the way the show portrayed them and they were all happy with the makeovers. Lets face it, Womens bowling needs a boost and if this does it, so be it. I'm hoping that this exposure opens the eyes of some corporate sponsors and the USBC puts together a nice Tour for the ladies. They certainly deserve the opportunity to bowl, especially now with the new breed of talent out there. Wait until you get introduced to Stephanie Nation, you will see what i mean. Also, for those of you that havent seen Diandra bowl, you will soon find out what the buzz is all about !!!

Y'all can have Diandra, she is quite appealing except for the new-red hair style she posed with for the team photo of the Womens championship. (scary) Leanne Barrette  made over, must be like winning the lottery. Pictures do her bod no justice.
