I've bowled with both conventional and fingertip, even though I understand the principal improvements with fingertip I find my scores are always lower using this method.

I find a fingertip grip makes me more concerned with my grip and it throws my timing off.

However, I am starting to move towards more speed, revs, and a bigger hook, so I imagine fingertip would help all of these.

But I just cant get used to the feel.

So, your ideas? Did it help that much for you? Did it take you awhile to get used to the new grip?

I mean, if I could improve my average 20 points or so I'll just get used to the strange feeling.

Thanks all!
