different level of bowling
« on: August 01, 2017, 01:54:46 PM »
Watched the "lucy" doubles this weekend in Houston.   Unless conditions change I watched a different level of bowling developing.  Delivering a ball left of 25 (Belmo was over the gutter), out to 5 board and making it back to the pocket.  Then being pretty consistent doing so.  Saw no one lofting the ball though, most had a pretty smooth delivery.

I saw even ladies(with their slower speed) playing left of twenty board).

The skill set developed to do this pretty impressive.

Another surprise to me was no real shiny equipment being used.   I think I can understand that though.  A shiny ball on that backend would be too crazy,

All in All I enjoyed the Extra frame broadcast.  No commercials, commentators seemed knowledgeable, color guys relaxed, kinda saying what they felt without a script.
Broadcast was way more enjoyable to watch than the TV shows

They still have some things to improve.  Constantly switching between lanes so often it gets a bit confusing.   Love the fact that announcers  held down the nonessential conversations.
