Title: Do power lift grips slow your release?

I was wondering if you guys could help me out on a question? Do power lift finger inserts slow your release compared to plain oval inserts? I've tried both and my hand seems to release slower causing a slower ball speed with my normal release than with ovals. Is that possible?

Not sure about slowing it, but they made me lift more.  I went away from them and went back to reg. ovals.  Don't need much hit on the ball for me.
