Title: does a THB need C.A.T.S.?
Post by: xrayjay on October 19, 2017, 07:33:06 PM
I'm just wondering if it's necessary for a regular Joe Bowler like myself to collect information about my game using "kitty cat" system.

I know I drift 2 right, I spot bowl, and my bad habit is to push out for example... I know when I hit or miss the spot I'm looking at and if it carries, I'm good to go. If I shoot 665-700's I'm happy, that's the goal.

If you're a Joe Bowler like myself and have had data collected, did you improve from what you've learned about your game? Did it make you a better sport bowler?

Just curious.

I've always been interested in it just to see the statistics. I dont think it'd help much for the majority of bowlers, i dont even think it would help me. I just want to know the numbers because I've altered my release and I'm curious where i sit now.

The value in C.A.T.S ultimately depends on what you do with it after you get it.

If you basically just get the info and walk out the door with it without knowing what it means and what to do with it, then it is a waste time and money.

If you get at least a basic explanation/review of what all the info means, then it could benefit you if you can apply what you learned.

If you get the info and have a coach to help you utilize it, then you would gain the most benefit.

It totally depends on what your goals are.  Some league bowlers are very competitive, others like to bowl good but aren't really interested in working on their game.  For those who want to practice and improve CATS I'd useful
