Title: does anyone do this

I went to practice yesterday and it was later at night then i usually bowl and i saw i guy and he had a regular bowling shoe on his slide foot and a nike basket ball shoe on the other foot, im wondering do any of you do this.

Well, I know the higher level bowling shoes (SSTs, ABS, etc.) are exactly like that.  The slide foot has the sole and heel for sliding, which the other shoe is essentially a sneaker.  He's probably found an inexpensive way of modelling that style.
