Title: Drilling for a low rev player
Post by: solidtenpin on July 24, 2008, 02:01:22 PM
My sister just got a new ball, she plays down and in with little revs but wants the ball to hook a little more. Can someone recommend a drilling for her?

Thanks

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their BRUNSWICK ball.

I would put the pin above the fingers and kick the cg to the right about 1/2" to 3/4" depending on top weight, so that you do not have to put a balance hole in it.  Good Luck!!

well first you need to find her pap then drill things really agressive for her so she can take advantage of the ball helping her out since she is not a high rev player. the pin may not be above her the middle or anything it has to be drilled to her pap. good luck

Find the PAP, and then consider a label leverage drilling. That's pretty conservative, but will make the ball move despite low revs and yield a controllable back end reaction. Should also suit her down-and-in style.

Agreed.  I'm fairly low revs and slower speeds, and label has been very good for me.  My pro shop used to basically drill everything label.

I've experimented with different drillings, and a couple have worked, but I'm finding that with the label drilling, it really lets me see the differences between the balls.

Pin height (above/below fingers) can be adjusted to help promote an earlier (or later) breakpoint.
