Drilling options
« on: July 13, 2008, 03:34:35 PM »
So, I got into one of thoes thinking modes tonight about ball drilling and layouts. The idea is to lay out 4 bowling balls with 4 1/2" pin to pap distances and move the pin virticaly up and down to allow the ball to hook earlyer and later. For instance for me 4 1/2 would be above the ring finger, so Perhaps put one ball with pin over ring, one ball with pin in ring, one ball with Pin below ring, and maybe even one well below the ring. Also adjust surface, weight holes, and cover stock's, like pearl, solid, maybe hybrid, or partical...

Is this a good Idea, I was looking at a few new balls and the different options use...

Deminsion
Gravity
Grand illusion
Rapid Fire pearl
Street rod Prl
Spare

Gravity Shift
Rapid fire Prl

Or better yet, instead of moving the pin vertically up and down Use a compass and draw a 4 1/2" arc from my pap to determine pin placements.
