What is everyone's opinion on this??
« on: July 17, 2005, 01:58:18 PM »
I bowled with this guy and he thinks he is the greatest bowlers ever.  He averaged 202 in the fall while i averaged 200.  We are bowling a summer pba shot league and i am at 192, while he is at 180.  He says he doesn't care that i am beating him in the pba league becuase he beat me during the fall.  It would mean more to me to beat someone by 12 pins on a tough shot rather than beat someone by 2 pins on a house shot.  I told him it shows who is the more accurate player.  What does everyone think?

P.S.  In no way saying that i am a great bowler because i averaged 192 on a pba shot since the pros average 220+.

Well, it probably means that you're a better spare shooter than him.  And tell him being 2 pins better on THS isn't grounds for him being amazing compared to you.

i bowled well on all patterns except for the chamelon pattern.  I had a bad week of around 690 for 4 games.  I am usually around 740-780 and i have had 2 weeks above 860.  I went into the league hoping for around 185 so i am extremely happy with 192.  I focus a lot more during this league and i am surprised at how good i am at shooting my spares with my plastic ball.

I would say whoever can strike when it's for the dough is the better bowler. I know guys that can't get into it until they are actually bowling for something. Bowl the guy for $10 a frame, then you'll know who the better bowler is. Avg's don't matter a bit it's who can bowl when it counts. Just my opinion.
