Throwing the ball backwards.

Last night I get up to the lane for my first shot during warmups.  I didn't notice anything, really, but there must have been something a little slippery on my thumb or in the thumbhole.  Right in the middle of my backswing the ball takes off toward the seats.  First time I've ever done that, EVER!!

The rest of the night went pretty well, aside from the reverse toss.  Anyone else ever done that since they've been older than 10?

Twice in a week I left my shoe cover on when I started bowling.  Two weeks ago on Monday I did it during lunch ($5 for two games, shoes, and a pretty good lunch can't be beat), then did it again during practice on Wednesday.  Hurt like heck when I landed on my hands.  I recovered on Monday, but when I did it the second time, it basically ruined my balance the whole night.  Every shot, I felt like I was going to stick and fall.

Nice to see that you recovered from your mishap.  I can't imagine the ribbing I'd get for doing that here.

Not sure what ^ is talking about but ive had my ball come off in my back swing befor in travel league, I use very little grip pressure and have a high back swing. I would of hurt someone if it hadnt been for the elevated steps from the pit area. Kinda embarrassed cause everyone seen me do it.

Yes..And i have also droped it in the floor when i was at the highest pont of my backswing.
