polishing urethane?
« on: June 19, 2007, 01:38:58 PM »
I recently got an old JPF Axe, i cant get this thing to shine for the life of me.

Ive taken it down to 500abralon b4 polishing, & tried everything from 500 up to 4000, nothing works.  Ive used beans polish, some brunswick polish, ebonite, also used the lanemasters polish.  I even went to the store & bought some turtle wax polishing compound.  None of the polishes did much of anything.

Anyone else got any ideas?

I've resurfaced a couple of my polished urethane spare balls. Its a lot of work getting them back to a shine. I kept going up in grit with sandpaper until
I got to 1000, then hit it with compound and Finesse It. I went 220-400-600-800-1000, then the compound and polish. Lots of work. Made me get a lot better at 'killing' my strike ball for spares.
