Recommendations?

First off, sorry about the length!  There is a point and question in here!  I read a post on here the other day (I apologize, I can''t remember exactly where it was or what it said verbatim) about people we trust to drill our equipment.  The part that stuck with me was when the poster said something along the lines of (and I''m paraphrasing) "if your driller doesn''t take your PAP into consideration when laying out a ball for you, find a new driller."  This got me thinking...I''ve never had anyone ask me for my PAP when I take a ball to them.  In fact, my PAP''s never been measured...I couldn''t tell them what it is if they did ask.  I''ve had about 11 balls drilled for me in the past year (by 4 different drillers at 2 different shops) and not once has my PAP been measured.  In fact, only 2 of those drillers have even watched me throw a ball, but, didn''t do anything other than watch.  They didn''t physically look at the ball afterwards.  Shame on me for not knowing this (I guess I did, I just never brought it up).  This would probably explain why I''ve had hit or miss success with these last 11 balls.  So, I''ve gotten rid of all my old equipment and am in the process of buying a couple of new balls to start completely over with.  I live in the Indianapolis, IN area.  Does anyone on here have a good driller they recommend that will actually help me with my PAP and use that to help me lay out my ball choices (or, help me choose the right balls)?  I''m willing to drive if the experience is worth it (Cincinnati, Louisville, Evansville, etc.)  Any recommendations?  Thanks in advance!

Just because you don't talk about where your pap is does not mean he or she didn't drill off of it. It is easy to find and they just might not have talked to you about it. There are tools available to find your pap off your ball's track. Not saying they used it, but I can't imagine someone drilling a ball without finding it.

Mike Riggins runs The Bowler's Shop at Cooper's Sport Bowl in Anderson, IN.  He is an IBPSIA charter member and a very good pro shop operator.  He taught the first fitting/drilling class I took about 7 years ago.  My shop is in Tell City, IN, which would be about the same distance from Indy as Evansville, but Mike is a lot closer and will do a great job for you.  --  JohnP
