Bowling is still too hard
« on: April 22, 2008, 03:18:28 AM »
Granted, it's better than it was in the days of flat oil patterns and rubber balls, but even though the lanes now funnel my ball to the pocket for me, I still don't strike every time.  This upsets me, because I'm not spending my hard earned money to shoot at single pin spares all night!  For my $20 a week, I think I deserve to shoot several honor scores every year and receive all the awards and prestige that come with them!

Therefore, I propose that the USBC change the rules and have the back row of pins REMOVED from the rack.  The 7, 8, 9, and 10 pin should no longer be set so the average league bowler can shoot more high scores and have more fun bowling!  This will surely bring more bowlers to the game, as shooting big scores and bragging to everyone about how good you are is what makes bowling enjoyable and keeps people coming back for more!

I hope the USBC is listening, because me and a bunch of bowlers I know are ready to quit if bowling remains to be an unfairly difficult game that doesn't equally reward all participants with honor scores.

If you would like to add your name to this petition, just print a copy of this post, sign your name at the bottom with your USBC membership number, and mail it to USBC.  Remember, there is strength in numbers, WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
Our goal is for every bowler, on every lane across America, to shoot 300 every time they bowl!  Bowling is not about rewarding those who practice or are naturally better than everyone else.  Bowling is about EVERYBODY WINNING all the time!  Just think how much better and more fun bowling will be when everybody always wins and nobody ever loses!

LMAO 9~.  if you are being serious, i apologize for laughing.  i only have one question for you though.  for the shots that go 1-3 pocket and leave a solid 4 pin, what then?  eventually, are we going to move to just the 1-2-3? and then maybe just the head pin??  just asking.  hope all goes well with your search for the nationwide 300's.

Now surely you also mean that you are spotted 4 pins for each frame right? I mean think about it, a person hits the gutter every time but still bowls a 40! My self-esteem feels better already!

I think we should also add a 5-pin no tap rule to this movement as well.

Every regular USBC member should receive a 300, 800, and top average for league awards automatically. If you pay for elite membership you get a 900 award!

I might just save money if this could happen!!!

That's all Pepper needs is you to post his approach on youtube.  He takes his 6 steps from the rear dots, moves forward about 2", that's right, INCHES.

Still haven't figured out why he buys bowling shoes.

Still haven't figured out how he so accurate lofting the ball 10'15 feet.

I meant it as a joke, but I'd LMAO if I heard the USBC complaining about an influx of petitions to remove the back row of pins!

see what they need is a lane mane behind every lane and everytime that you leave something he just smacks it down...simple as that. Kind of like in the video on bruns-nick's site..which is halarious..lol
