Toughest House??
« on: April 16, 2010, 04:52:31 AM »
What is the Toughest house in your area?

Rusch's Lanes Kimberly WI. Old oiler that has just about had it. Old wooden lanes and a owner that would rather see bowlers suffer to shot deuce. Place is Nasty especially for a crankers and guys who like to get deep. THS plays flatter than most with ugly hang outside of 7. Carry is nonexistent and pins move like they are made out of lead.

AMF Irving, Irving TX. Never get a good look in that house. 700's are very rare. The PBA last time they came to Dallas/Fort Worth bowled here and it was the Shark and 200 made match play. Barnes shot a 300 and won the tournament which proved to me why he is so good but I saw many pros struggling which was in 07 I think. I saw most of the tournament and it was brutal.

AMF Mowry Lanes in Fremont, CA.  Really bad wood, horrible approaches, break point that changes after every thrown shot.  Only one 200 average in the entire house, everyone is down a minimum of 20 pins.  Those of us who bowl there are saying that this should be one of the PBA patterns except for the fact that it could not be duplicated each week only because no one knows from hour to hour what the pattern looks like.  It could become like the center in San Francisco, a haven for bay area baggers.
