Title: Fox tv coverage
Post by: Geigs on February 19, 2019, 06:04:16 PM
Was just curious as to what you guys think so far on the new fox tv coverage? With the exception of some cool new graphics. It’s pretty much same what espn had. Same people. Randy, Rob, and Kimberly announcing. Can live with randy and his drooling, man crush on belmo. I mean there’s never going to be another burton, schenkel combo. I’m just happy fox has put bowling back on tv for us to watch. Plus love the fact that they replay the previous show many times during the week, sometimes same day. So I’m very pleased, happy what fox has done.

I'm with you happy to see bowling on TV!

I love it. Multiple repeats are huge. So much easier to find the last tournament if you miss it live.

The graphics are really nice too. Helps show how they’re playing the patterns. Also helps folks realize sometimes bad shots turn out good and good shots get bad results.

Just need to be more consistent with listing the arsenal they’re using that day.

I'm digging it, good production, love the new graphics, glad to see Rob Stone back. Now, if only they could find someone other than Randy Peterson...

With the Specto graphics, they don't need blue oil. I wish they would get rid of it.

I love it. I think coverage is great. I would like to see a few more over the shoulder shots that were panned a bit futher out. I've seen them in a couple random replays of shots and the view on the ball motion is phenomenal.

The Fox deal is one of the best, if not the best blessings for bowling this decade. You will see some sponsors picked up for 2020 with increased prize funds.

I love it so far as well. It's nice to be flipping through the channels and seeing a replay on.

I think the replays open up more sponsor opportunities

I think Fox is doing a really good job with the telecasts and the frequency that they are showing them.  I'm pretty happy with the coverage so far, especially the shot graphics.  Both the on-lane shot tracer and the side panel with the shot statistics are really interesting to me, as is knowing each bowler's arsenal.  One thing I'd like to see is the ball speed on spare attempts, as those guys are REALLY bringing it at the single pin spares. And personally, I like Randy as a commentator.

Wow welcome to BR Randy or perhaps family member?

Geez, what's up with that?  Lol, not sure who you'd like instead, but each to their own.  The dude can be funny at times, unlike some of the other staid people.

Careful donuts. Remember what you started, happened with your last post, motiv staffer/golden jackel. Don’t make me put a lock on this one as well.  Lol! Can’t we all get along? I thought maybe fox would have some fresh faces, voices announcing instead of just keeping the espn team. I was thinking maybe Marshall Holman. Stuck with randy, Ok. For me it’s about the bowling, and their talents anyway. Lots of good replies on this one guys. Thanks.

The best part of Randy is listening to him not properly cover up his mic when he's talking to someone else. There was one show that the behind the scenes stuff was better than the actual commentary

I do wish they'd lose the blue oil, which I thought was pretty useless anyway. Apart from that I'm very happy with the telecasts and happy that Mr. Hambone is back in the booth.
