House League?

I'm from Sweden and I have no idea what your "House Leagues" is? Can someone please explain?  

Do you go all over the country to play like we do in our different leagues here in Sweden or do you stay at one place?

If there is money to be had, you will find Tim Mack. That guy is incredible, it's hard to imagine why he didn't make it on tour, probably needed to get familliar with the lane conditions which are some of the toughest around. The PBA tour lane conditions tend to punish people who rev the ball a ton, or don't rev it enough.

For a while, it seemed like all kids here wanted to model their style of bowling after Tim's. That subsided after a while. Tim's game is not that easy to emulate. Plus the fact that our coaching tradition is focused on drills which mostly foster bowlers a bit more stroker-oriented.

I don't know when Tim's shoulder injury started to interfere with his ability to compete on the tour. But I'm sure it must have affected him. I hear his backswing is lower now. It must be quite a challenge to alter ones game that way.

I wasn't aware Tim had a shoulder injury, that explains a lot then. He must be getting better, I read he just won a big tournament in Kuwait I think, $20,000.

I had a partially tourn rotator cuff and it definitly alters your swing a bit when it's flaring up.

The teams were sponsored by the major brewing companies of the towns they represented.

I'm not sure what breweries had teams, I know of the obvious ones like the Budweisers out of St. Louis, they dominated, Falstaff beer (not sure what city they were out of) they were always in the running if not winning it all too they were coached by Bill Taylor who writes about his experiences in Bowling this Month from time to time. There were many good teams comprised of hall of fame bowlers.

As of last week Tim was still using 13 lb equipment, he is good friend of a friend. Super nice guy he says he rolled a 15 lber a few frames a few weeks ago and it did not feel right yet.
