Title: Funny thing happened at the center tonight

Tonight, on the pair right next to me, a senior bowler shot a 300. As it was announced, I raised my hands to clap as I always do. As I started clapping, for the first time in as long as I can remember, THE WHOLE center was clapping in congratulations. No big deal to some, but to me I thought this was very cool!

Last time we had a 300 on my teammates 12th shot a senior walked right up and started his 10th frame.  This was in the middle of a crowd of on lookers lmao.  Was funny in an eye rolling kinda way.

Thats awesome.. we had a similar thing happen last Thursday night the whole 40 lanes clapping because it was the second one on the same team different game.

It is nice to hear that since usually someone is complaining about how the bowler threw the ball or how lucky they were.

Talk about unusual...It is nice to hear that.  The only time we get that around here is when we know it is someones first ever or if it has been a long time between them or a senoir bowler.

How long did everyone clap? It's nice to hear. Sometimes it seems that, as a society, we've become so jaded to others' success.

Last night in league there were 2 300's and I shot 299...

A short applause (2 seconds max) for each 300, nothing for 299, but its just that league because its common because there are so many good bowlers

Normally no one gives a crap if someone shoots 300 because they happen so often nowadays..

I do thinks its cool that the whole center did that though, must have made the old guy feel good..

when i shot 300 this past march, i threw the 12th ball to turn around and see 20 teams standing behind me watching the 12th fall. (our mens league plus the ladies league from the other end)  fortunatly around here, 300's are not common place and still a joy to see

That is classy. We have had 2 300 bowled this year. Both from my teammates. One 800 series.

you still see that at the center i bowl at its hard as hell to shoot one here and when you see someone with the front nine people start to crowd and watch. last year we had a record of 10 shot were a small house and the cool thing is they take a pic of everyone that has ever shot one in side the pro shop you got pics of all the bowlers who shot one in the 60's thru the early 90's its kinda cool to see all the local greats when they were in there prime
