getting more hook on a ball?

is there anything you can do to a ball to get more hook on it without redrilling it. and is there a good way to get oil out of a ball?

Hot water in a sink w/dish soap. Just give it time to dry. LOL.

To hook the ball a little more without doing anything to it, try cupping your wrist a little more. Just a suggestion.

Whats your specs? or Rev rate and axis rotation mostly? Those are the big factors. The more revs, the more hook. Axis rotation if you have 90 degrees your going to skid the lane 0 degress your going to be rolling across the lane. Just depends on if its you or the ball. If you have a low rev rate, not much is going to hook a lot unless you throw it slower.

Let us know about you and the ball and we might can get more specific to the issue.

i have a high rev rate, i am just trying to figure out why my ball has all of a suddon died on me, it use to hook like a monster and now i am standing 12 to 15 boards left of were i normaly throw, oh i am left handed

Oh ok, and your release and all hasn't changed? If not what you would need to try is giving the ball a hot water bath as mentioned above. That should get it at about 98% of what the ball was when new. If that doesnt work then its time to get a new ball.

the ball is a columbia 300 momentum, i will try the bath, how do you do it without water getting in the holes? and if water gets in the holes will it hurt it?

no it won't hurt the ball getting water it there. just let it go in the holes. Make sure the ball dries before using.

I haven't heard of any ball death on this one yet, but go to www.morichbowling.com and look under the cleaning section and they give step by step process of doing the bath.

If that looks painful take it to a proshop with a ball rejuvinator and that will help.

very simple...weight hole.  depending how it is drilled, you can add a weight hole to alter it.  a good driller will drill the ball with the option of the weight hole if needed.  talk to a pro shop about a weight hole and if it is possible, you should do that.
