Urethane balls

How do you go about choosing the best urethane ball for you. I am a 2 handed lefty bowler. Also feel free to post the urethane ball you guys use along with the style (technique, speed, revs, etc.) of your play.

I break it down like this.

Rev dominant players benefit most from 2 piece urethanes like Black Hammer, Purple Hammer, Fever Pitch because their higher revrates can get these balls to continue stronger off of the spot.

Lower rev players that typically play right of 10 can benefit more from the urethane with more aggressive cores north of .040 diff. They offer more flare midlane so they get into motion a bit sooner. It makes it easier to miss left and still stay high flush instead of going bucket due to the puddle inside.

Tweeners and lower rev players that have more of a natural "bend" in their ball path, could benefit more from the high flare, assymetric urethane offerings like Black Widow Urethane, Hot Cell, and upcoming Honey Badger U.

Your mileage may vary

what DP3 said....

which pro shot does your shot resemble most? Belmo? Jesper? Troup?

Jesper is the higher speed two hander.  Belmo is the middle ground, matches higher speed and higher revs.  Troup is lower speed lower revs for a two hander...

Ive got 2 IQ Tour Reds that i throw pretty much everywhere if i can. One is dull and pin next to ring, cg stacked. My other is a polished pin above bridge, cg palm. These work great off each other and i know how to move and when to change basically everywhere i go, thats when i can start with them. FYI, the IQ Red are an Int'l ball, U1S with the Centrepetal core like the IQ has.

I think I am somewhere in Kyle troup range of speed and revs.

Been really impressed with my Purple Hammer even as one hander with lower mediumish revs.  Ball is sneaky strong, smooth as butter and hits like a reactive.
Here today.  Gone tomorrow.
