Got my face broke last night.
« on: May 20, 2005, 01:08:13 AM »
The summer single scratch sport shot league that I have participated in for past two years at the Palace Lanes in the C-Bus,Oh, had to turn me away because they were only allowed to fill 24 spots this year due to an expanded junior roster and other leagues filling the house. I honestly really looked forward to the 15 pin drop in average and the 7 different patterens applied over the 14 week league. My question is, would A sport condition leauge fly during a traditional 35 week fall/winter leauge that is usually just a THS shot? I'd do it.  Chime in . . .

remember that Sport compliant does not always mean more oil...there are some pretty  dry but compliant patterns out there.

There is one for certain in my area and possibly a second that puts out a sport pattern but does not sanction it sport.  The one just went to officially sport sanctioned this past winter.  We went for 32 weeks, a different pattern each of the 4 rounds.  We had 16 teams of trios at the start but lost 2 teams along the way.

Summer league starts June 6th.  I don't know how many teams of trios, but I was told it would be a small league.  Several of the bowlers take the summer off to rejuvinate the bruised egos

Even after one week in my sport league this summer on Thursdays, I would sign up instantly for a longer sport shot league in the fall if it can fit with my work schedule. The one that's run in my local area, while a doubles league, runs after 9pm and I have to be at work for 11pm, and my work is an hour away from the center. Any breakdowns or delays and I'm late for work. I heard a rumor that they may start a second sport shot league first shift on Sundays so we will see.
