Title: grips, lifts vs. ovals
Post by: scruffy weasel on May 20, 2003, 07:05:13 PM
im currently debating several changes in my equipment, one of them being switching from lift grips to ovals.  in my spare ball i have oval grips and i have noticed that i can still rev the ball up good if i want and im much more accurate and consistent than with the lifts, i know some of this has to do with the lighter weight of the spareball (im also considering dropping to 15lb in all my stuff)  but im curious as to what others experiences are with the switch from lifts to ovals, what difference has it made?

Lifts make you stay in the ball longer.  This sometimes cause people to pull the ball a little more.  I switched from lifts to semi-ovals.  With semi the bump is on the pads of the fingers and doesn't cut as much as lifts.

Hope this helps.
