Is all white textured bowlers insert tape the same?
« on: January 19, 2018, 12:44:26 PM »
Is it just me or do all the major bowling manufacturers branded white textured tape all feel the same? Do Storm, Brunswick, Ebonite, Master etc..have all their tape manufactured by the same company? It seems like it just comes down to brand loyalty when buying tape, white textured tape anyway.

I second that "no"

They all feel a little different and some are more tacky than others.  The Storm tape is too tacky for my tastes and I prefer the Brunswick/Ebonite/Vise versions.

Also say No. Even Black tape is different. I just recently got some of bowlingball.com's monster tape and I liked it so much more than the other black tapes I've used that I bought a roll of 100

Same as the rest, Nope.

They all feel a little different, The silver Realbowlerstape is different still.

I like the Ebonite Powerhouse Premium white tape over the Ebonite Ultra Grip, it has abit more texture.

The silver real bowlers tape is real thin and kind of smooth.

+1 on that Monster tape.  Don't generally use tape so no expert but been impressed with the 30 pack of white and black I bought on few occasions when I needed.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I guess I'm not that sensitive to the different white tape textures from each company...though I have to say the textures of Brunswick & Ebonite's Ultra Grip tape feel pretty similar, neither feels particularly "tacky", though Brunswick's tape of 5-6 yrs ago felt quite tacky. From the responses on here, I take it Storm has the most textured of all brands outside of the super textured that Masters sells.

I've tried (silver) Real Bowlers tape and found it to be a little smoother and thicker than the other tapes out there, but extremely durable and haven't noticed it to leave any residue behind.
