I'm looking for a good heavy oil ball that I can pick up cheap and I see alot of these balls on Ebay. I've read the reviews here and they are pretty good but it seems like there must be a reason they go so cheap on Ebay. Anybody have any opinions on this ball?

Ball is discontinued, good ball, needs oil or it will burn up.

I like mine pretty well. The reason they sell so cheap, is because they're discontinued. Once a bowling ball is discontinued, you can buy them undrilled for less.

i'm picking up mine from my proshop this monday (got it off ebay for 54 shipped plus 40 drilling=94 for a brand new ball, not bad eh?) And tell you then my initial reactions so that it might help you decide whether to take the plunge or not!

Alright, threw my first games with the ball today. It is drilled pin under ring, 4 by 3, large balance hole in the thumb positive quadrant. This ball rolls EARLY!!! It starts its move very very early and keeps on coming. It will definately work even for the weak wristed on heavy oil.

If you find that on your typical house conditions - assuming that you mostly bowl in the same house, nothing shaming, that describes 90% of today's bowlers - and you find that the Diesel Particle is too much or burns out, you can always polish it up. I've seen many a good player who liked the ball polished than at box condition.
