I haven't been following ball companies and now I'm...
« on: September 26, 2016, 11:53:25 AM »
confused to what ball to choose.

I have a hyroad, breeze, and blue hammer. Under the hyroad, what ball do you recommend?? it doesn't matter the company, I'm open to using other brands besides storm. I used to just choose one ball company for the simplicity, but I think it's time to mix it up.

Also, I'm on a budget. Anything under $115 online price. My kids school/day care/sport/band ain't cheap. I could of got a 425i gran coupe this last June, but opt for a little banger 1.5 2016 honda hatchback. (plus, gran coupe no manual)

Anyway, I thought about trying motiv, 900, and radical. These are companies I haven't tried yet. (well motiv primal tv was the first and last motiv, I hated it. Cover was hard to figure out)

Send your kid to public high school and live a little.  By the time your kid gets out in the world and gets a job that private high school is gonna make no difference.

I have been using Roto Grip and most recently Storm. You will like Roto's Hp3 and Hp2 line -- great stuff for the price! Haywire and the Wrecker are great balls!

Thanks, I'll look into those balls. All these names and lines and radiology symbol ratings are confusing. But I did see a hectic - silver/purple looking ball last year too. looks decent.

Ebonite GB2 series $115, great ball for the money 3 to pick from, (I didn't care for the gold one)
http://www.bowlersmart.com/bowling-gear/bowling-balls/ebonite-bowling-balls

Hammer viral - 100 bucks
2 hammer rebel - 126 bucks
both good choices depending on lane conditions

Columbia delirium shock is a great ball $119 bucks
the Nitrous is also decent at 79 bucks

Don't buy Storm or Roto Grip.
Roto Grip changes their ball line up so damn often. Like Sinister was out for a few months, then it was replaced by Menace, and that ball only lasted 2-3 months. That made me loose any trust I had towards them. Like they're just experimenting and releasing shit.
Storm has a 1 year guarantee, while every other company has 2 years, Hammer has 3.
That makes me think Storm doesn't belive that their balls will crack fast, which they do often :P

Buy either Ebonite, Motiv or Brunswick.
Brunswick and DV8. Ebonite is Hammer, C300, Track and EBI of course.
Most used:
Motiv Venom Shock (14)
DV8 Grudge Hybrid (14)
Hammer Scandal (14)
DV8 Freakshow (14)

Sometimes.
C300 Swerve (14)
Motiv Jackal LE (14)

Retired:
Roto Grip Sinister (13)
Motiv Jackal (14)

Given to a no-thumber in the club:
Brunswick T-zone (13)

Might stick with Motiv from now on.
