pain in arm
« on: December 04, 2005, 11:27:04 AM »
I just finished bowling a double header for my league and i got a huge pain in my forearm.  Anyone have any idea why this could be?

Wouldn't be surprised if you stressed some tendons or strained the muscles in your forearm. Too many revs, thrown too hard?

Lots of rest is probably called for, with a couple of Advil/Motrin/Ibuprofen every 4 hours. Not sure if a heat or cold wrap would be best. Probably heat.

Might be a good idea to wait for Sawbones (he's a real doctor) to comment. or just go to your MD or orthopedist tomorrow morning.

If its just sore, sounds like your not used to rolling 2 sets in 1 day. How often do you bowl? Once a week? 2 or 3 nights a week? Once every other week?

In the late 70's I bowled in two PTQ  squads on day one and got cramps in forearm late in the second set. I was hitting the ball very strong off of the fingers. It went away the next day... but it was weaker.
