Title: hits like a truck?
Post by: yoder978 on October 20, 2004, 02:16:49 PM: does most everyone who writes a review state that there ball hits like a truck or something to that effect. just my opinion here but i would like to see some better quality reviews containing info on the ball, lane conditions, bowler style, rev rate, ball speed, etc. i do use the reviews when i am looking for a new ball. i would also like to see people state the negatives to a ball also. we all know that there is not one ball made for every lane condition. i have only wrote 2 reviews but am going to do more. my reviews might not be the greatest but i try to make them as factual as i possibly know. just offering my 2 cents worth.

Post by: TheBowlingKid25 on October 20, 2004, 10:18:52 PM: Yes this is an on going problem we've had for a while now. People love to state the fact that 'they shot their frist 700 with this ball' and that it 'hits like a mac f*cking truck'. We really need some type of form to fill out.

Post by: fishnic on October 20, 2004, 10:24:06 PM: it seems like people go on this site and post a review on a ball and half of them never ever post on a topic , and they say this ball is the beast it improved my avg by 30 pins and hits like a truck and i shot a 300 with it

Post by: yoder978 on October 20, 2004, 10:27:49 PM: i like bk25's response. i think that something like an info sheet to fill out would be a great thing. just something to make people consider more about what the ball actually does. i would also like it if people would give there ball about 2-3 weeks or so before they write a review. too many times people are saying they just drilled it up tonight. we all know for a fact that it takes more than just one night to know what a ball will and will not do.

I personally like the phrase "hits like a freight train". Its a little bit more descriptive, and really illustrates my point. I mean, have you ever seen a cow hit by a fright train?! ITS A MASSACRE!
