Bowlopolis

So I was rummaging through a free Bowlopolis sample box a few days ago that we had lying around at the center for several months.  After reading through the included manual I learned the gist of Bowlopolis was to increase league participation among children ages 4-12, which we can all agree will be necessary to insure there will be future generations of competitive bowlers.  The box also included about 25 mags, several dvds, and a couple t-shirts.  Although, i think kids 10 and up will find the concept a little childish, I couldn''t help but feel it would have broad appeal amongst younger kids.

After teaching a learn to bowl class earlier this week for young kids I decided to hand them all a copy of the magazine and dvd to take home and enjoy at their leisure.  Although I''ve yet to watch the video myself, I''m eager to hear feedback amongst my young students, and hope it will help to peak their bowling interest.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the Bowlopolis program, and if so, how it seems to be going over.

thanks

I've seen the promo posters and advertising in the centers.  Just never heard any kids talking about it.

IMO, it was a lot of money spent on an idea what had no basis for success.
