Title: Hopefully this is interesting...
Post by: Brunswick Kid on October 17, 2004, 07:01:23 AM
In all bowling houses, I`ve never seen any 7 pound house balls. Why is this?  Or, maybe I need to go exploring more.

Just out of my curiosity...

I guess it's just a matter of economics.  The ball mfrs will sell the same number of house balls to a bowling center, whether they offer mid-weight balls or not.

It's funny in a way, that we big, strong guys complain when our ball's weight is a few ounces different from what we wanted, but we expect kids to go from 8 pounds to 10 pounds, a 25% increase in weight, or just keep throwing a ball that's too light for them.

They exist! The ""7 lb ones"" your asking about.

At the place I bowl,YOU(aka anyone with a student ID
or Drivers License) can borrow one from behind the
Front Desk. This is for So Cal B-Alley in San Diego.
Annnnnnn,just FYI.

Back in the day(aka mid 70's)one can also
borrow a ""6lb "" house ball too!I coulda
sworn,they had ""5lbs"" as well,I dunno,maybe???
I was a goofy teenager then,hmmmmmm.I geeeze,I'm
now a goofy adult, some things never change.

Funny thing though they hook kinda cool, waaay b4
crazy sport shots and super oil.The bad thing is
the LIGHT stuff doesent do much pin damage!

next!

So, I really need to go exploring more.
