Is the Immortal banned, because the differential rate is so high? I heard a rumor....

No, it was grandfathered in, the ball was approved before the differential rate changed.

I think there were more super-high-diff balls approved after the new rule was announced than before.  Hammer and Ebonite both had such balls introduced after the rule went into effect, as did Visionary.

Are they trying to dictate how we bowl or something? Personally I think if some wants a more hooking ball then they should be able to choose that option. (I don't want one, but that's beside the fact) Who's to say they get that option, because bowling was around before the USBC you know. I mean we are the ones that pay them right?
