Mushtare story picked up by NPR

I know, I know, we have already beat this one to death, but . . .

Driving home from work today, I caught the end of a story on NPR "featuring" Robert Mushtare.  Michelle Norris from NPR talked with Bob Johnson from Bowlers Journal about his 5 900s.  If you're interested in listening to the segment, follow this link.

His story is also suppose to appear on ESPN Outside the Lines this sunday at 930am I believe it is... I believe this was footage from JOG in Florida

I had heard that for the ESPN story they were going to complete the story by having Pete Weber or Tim MAck bowl him on his league condition in his home house?

Just listened to the interview...

I thought it was very measured and even in it's presentation and brought out all the doubts and neglected only to distinguish about the difference in the oiling conditions between a home house condition and a flatter oiled condition...and his lack of experience on these shots.

A very measured and factual presentation however compared to the emotion on both sides I have seen.

PS I await the ESPN story to see how that plays out and if it HAS an agenda OR presents a measured and even version such as above!

At the tail end she mentioned something about calling the Professional Bowlers Association and being told that they were not aware of any "doping problems in the league?"  Huh, what?

I think the "doping" comment was a response to the allegations about Landis, the Bonds story, etc.  To wrap the story up with a little chuckle.
