Used it, can't stand it. Made my release inconsistent and I dropped the ball way too often.

It may work great for you, but it was terrible for me.

Just wondering because I bowled this summer and had a terrible time with my thumb. Had to insert and take away tape so often due to the different temperatures in the house. I thought this would help with that.

Also was wondering if it covered the entire thumb?

I got one because I had surgery on my thumb back in June to protect the knuckle area.It will take some time to get use to but it will save your thumb from the skin on your thumb to be torn.I'll let you know how I did.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

you'd best have a huge thumb.

I did use it once but not anymore once I discover the tapes from Vise which I can
put on my thumb and layer them in having a stady clean release and protection to my thumb. They have a purple tape, beige tape and a hada tape for a quicker and smooth release. I never put them on the top of my thumb. Cut them each 5 lines.
I put them down on the inside and outside of the thumb and pul them a little over the top. Have clean releases and my thumb does not suffer. Plus you do not have to fight with putting or taking out tapes from the inside of a thumb hole. You can find them here.

If you want the tape to cover from the inside over the top and to outside of your thumb. Then get the 2 inch and cut them to your size.

I used it and didn't like it. It's cheap, so if you want to see for yourself, go for it.

Some bowlers, Pete Weber for example, use a golf glove or special bowling glove.  Several months ago there was a thread on the use of gloves.  Set your preferences to the maximum time and do a search.  --  JohnP

I purchased one and never used it due to having to redrill all my thumb holes to accomodate the hardened tip.

If you want one, pm me, you can have mine for free!! Just pay shipping.

The golf gloves are great if you find the ones that do not have stitches on both sides of the thumb. Because then you have to oval the thumb hole a little bigger. If you find the ones that have only on one side with stitches, the inside of the gloves thumb with stitches, then you can put on the inside and outside of the thumb of the glove the smooth black satin tape to cover from the inside of the thumb over the top to the outside of the thumb of the golf glove. So I just cut the tip of the middle and ring fingers of the golf gloves not the thumb of the glove. Put some crazy glue on the outside of the stitches so they do not get loose besides putting some white athletic around, with the glove on, and below where you made the cut. Leave the bottom of the glove thumb with out tape for feeling and grip on the ball. It saves me a lot of tape, same clean release and protects my thumb.

It is not to much trouble because I like to use a golf glove and to always protect my thumb. There are good drillers around my area but still I like to have a constant clean release and like I said I care for my thumb and hand.

In a way I do not go into the trouble of the tapes inside the thumb hole, or the liquid skin and patch on my thumb, or the rosin or easy slide in the thumb hole.

The trouble of the glove is just once. The others are a constant trouble.

Borincano.....If you have to go to all that trouble, you must not have a decent driller in your area.
