How Many?

How many bowling alleys are in your area? I just checked and there are 19 within 17 miles of my home. Just wondering how every where else is.

One here in Starkville, MS.  A crappy one in Columbus, about 40 minutes away.  Another at Columbus AFB, also about 40 minutes away.  Rebelanes in Tupelo is about  75 minutes away and they have the best pro shop in the area.

My hometown is in Eastern Pennsylvania, with a population of 80,000. It has one (1) bowling establishment within it's boundaries, and very few people bowl in this house. We do, however, have a large population of drug pushers from Central and South America, which probably has something to do with the decline of bowling in the area. Gun sales are up, however. Also, by about this time next year, there will not be a hospital within the city boundaries, as the only hospital remaining in town is moving to a new site where people actually have to pay for services. I drive 25 miles to bowl in two leagues, and 11 miles for another. The league within the 11 mile free fire zone may be folding due to lack of air cover and heavy armor support, so it looks like I will be doing those 50 mile round trips from now on.

Jeff,
I love living in this area.
I never have to look too far for somewhere to practice.

1 in the city limits.
Up to 2 within 20 miles.
Up to 4 within 50 miles.
Up to 9 within 80 miles.

The other one within 20 miles is a dungeon - literally.  Underground with pillars holding up the ceiling, no pit area to speak of.

Within 20 miles of my area- 4 that I can think of. If I extend the distance to 40 miles- probably 8-10.

If the question were posed 25 years ago, I would have been able to name 15 centers within 25 miles of me.
