for the first time...
« on: April 18, 2010, 01:51:36 PM »
i finally made the Osku Palermaa TV shot, i remember long time ago when brunsnick was making a video of the high roller where osku was playing the first arrow, he hit the pocket and the headpin bounced to the left gutter to the right gutter and taking out the 10 pin, well... it happened to me today

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
long storie, finished 2nd in a tournament that i would ve sucked

for the first time in my bowling career i felt im improving... and a lot

today after finishing my sunday morning league, where i shot 701. in my house, u dont see 700s very often, dryness, a bit of out of bound outside and no back end.
after my league a bowling friend convinced me to play the tournament that was on my average dry house shot. it was $85, i won in my league 90 bucks from the last game scratch, i figured, well, follow the momentum.

tournament details... dry dry dry...
but since in the morning i only used 1 ball, a 14lb ebonite raid, i only took that ball from the locket. first 3 games, 720... i surprised myself. qualified 3rd, first match play against the 4th qualifier, the only lefty who made it to match play that totals 12 bowlers. he had bad carry, i won shooting 216 , but he made a 3-7 and a 3-6-7-9 split, he finally gave up when he missed a 7 pin.

here is when my break came, the remaining 2 bowlers, 1st seed and 5th, we bowled one game, lowest game goes out. i started ok, then a big split,we were even, going to the 8th frame, i was down by 20 to the second highest, if i struck out it would be 202, i kept telling myself, make the person show up, i struck out, and the second highest bowler, needed to strike and spare to tie, he buries it in he pocket and leaves a ringing 10.

me to the championship match, i didnt even put a game in that, the first seed went 8 in a row and the deal was sealed. but i felt good, 9 games tournament on driness and i finally was able to play a tight line showed big improvements

great experience!

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.
