I make mine snug enough but not too snug.

I can't handle tight. Or even snug. I think I need to change some pitches in my thumb. Once my thumb starts to swell a little bit and it gets more snug, I don't get a quick enough thumb exit and I start pulling my shots inside. A little bit of easy slide fixes my problem

Maybe he has a legit reason to ask, then he needs to explain. Otherwise, I'll just assume he is yanking us.

I like a little room in mine then just add some tape for snug fit. there is a reason they make bowlers tape.

For me, (right handed) I drill my thumb hole a size too big and then use white tape at 3 and 7o'clock to make it a perfect oval fit. It's then easy to adjust with hot and cold weather along with humidity.

I like a tight fit. lol ----but seriously I would rather have to use sandpaper to the thumb, then I can make the fit exactly how I want it to be.
