I am tired of this No Tap IQ Tour!
« on: May 22, 2018, 08:00:21 AM »
Hello Bowling Fam,
I am tired of the IQ tour leaving 1 pin. Is there another ball out here with the same control and motion as the IQ tour and take down all 10(you all know what I am talking about)? It do not have to be storm or one certain brand. Thank you in advance.

Radical Intel
Motiv Venom Shock (solid)
Motiv Venom Cobra (hybrid)
Motiv Venom Shock Pearl

A few choices if you want to stick to similar ball motion. Not identical, but very similar.

For the same look (maybe a bit stronger), go get yourself an X2.

My IQ Tours are best on house shots with some lane shine and a 5” pin.

The Game Breaker 2 (GB2) is a better IQ Tour than an IQ Tour. It has the same characteristics of being all about control over a wide variety of conditions, but just does it a little better.

I'm not an IQ Tour basher. The IQ Tour was responsible for getting me two of my Senior Regional cashes. It was my go to ball when things got tough and ugly for several years. But the GB2 takes things up a notch. It's really a special ball.

I have a GB3 on order to take with me to the upcoming PBA50 tournaments in Vegas. I suspect the GB2/GB3 combination will be the primary balls I use throughout the tournaments.

You can't go wrong with either a Venom Shock/GB2. Win-win either way.

Better get them while you can. The x2 and both dct will be discontinued at the end of the month

Brunswick Magnitude 035 or Radical Intel. IMO the Intel handles more oil than the 035, but the 035 rolls better with closed-down angles.

Columbia 300 Eruption Pro Blue or GB2

The Eruption Pro Blue is also a great alternative, and also really close to the IQ Tour. It's my primary THS ball and is just a slight step down from the GB2. I'd only give the nod to the GB2 because it can handle more oil and the cover is very tunable in either direction.

Still, you can't go wrong with either.
