Yeah, my goal is to shoot at least 6 every night.  I was doing pretty well after I got a couple weeks under my belt, but I have a screw me up the butt night every so often, and they've become pretty frequent lately.  Yup, lol, same old story.

More info on the night is:

Games of: 184, 226, 170

Gm 1: 2 10 pin misses and a 2-10 split for open. 1 10 pin spare and 6 strikes.
Gm 2: More strikes and no opens.
Gm 3: Misses a 9 pin, a bucket, and again no carry. First 4 balls of  game  were in the pocket and X, 9/, 9-, X.

This is called, I need to practice spares in practice instead of finding my strike line. I think from now on, I'm going to shoot for strike first and then if I don't get it shoot for the 10 pin spot.

I wanted to also say that I haven't had all sixes, handful of 7's in there too, just meant that I wanted to shoot 600 or above for every night. High this year is 765. Not too shabby.

Sorry to hear that you broke your string, but you'll get back on track. As you've already realized, you just  need to make sure to nail down your spares. There are always going to be those nights where the corners won't fall or you keep stoning 8s and 9s. That's when you have to stay calm and focus on not handing pins away with stupid opens.

It could be worse.  I bowled a 36 week league and NEVER shot below 600. My low set for the entire league was a 613.

 Then, after my team made the championship roll-off, I bowl a whopping 520 something and we lost.

 Talk about MAD!  Went the whole league, then died just when it counted the most!

After I returned from Egypt my game suffered a long time. Quite a few weeks. I went bowling once in Cairo. They have one bowling alley in that city (bowling isn't popular) called Nile Bowling (right on the Nile River...duh). No bowling shoes and cosmic bowling balls only available. You know there is an issue when you can make a 14 pound Cosmic Bowling Ball move fifteen boards. The best part was I never left a ten pin. The pinspotter would pick it up and drop it everytime I left one!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I feel like I'm finally back to good. Five nights a week and all of them over the past two weeks have been above 600.
