idiot at the bowling alley
« on: October 06, 2014, 02:27:43 PM »
I recently put a pink shoe lace on my left shoe for breast cancer. I lost a gf at the age of 31 - that was 11 years ago. Also, I had two aunties who lived through this ugly disease. Also, I use pink wrap (ace wrap) to protect my dry finger and pinky fingernail.

Anyway last night, an idiot (prolly from the gay league) made a comment about my "fashion statement" that it looks silly. I need some lessons on fashion or some sheet. He said it as he passed my pair and then turned and said something like - i want people to see how good I bowl with bright neon colors that don't match my shoes???? I didn't reply to his comment, just shook my head in disbelief.

I just can't believe some people. It briefly messed up my focus for a bit. Why do people get into other peoples business?  it's been 11 months since I knocked out someone because of their stupidity, but this guy isn't even worth it.   :P :( >:(

Me thinks he has never heard of Northern California, xrayjay!   :o :o ;D ;D ;D

milo...not too many do :D  Not too many people get to see a guy with a split lizard like tongue with a suite and makes close to 100k a annually.....

Now ain't that the truth! LOL

I know a guy here locally who has a pair of cowboy boots that have been resoled for bowling...and wears them with short pants, a half shirt that shows his midriff and a chain in his belly button that seems to go up under the shirt and attaches to his nipples! I don't mind the pink two-tone hair near as much as the belly button chain. LOL

We are NOT in Kansas anymore.  :o

The funny thing is, dude is a pretty good bowler.

I'm throwing the towel milo..damn lol

There was a frequent flier to the ER who is inked from head to toe, body pierced all over, and ate metal objects...that was his thing....but your guy there, hands down blows this guy away. lol

I will never understand this with the league bowling comunity. Apparently there is some kind of dress code (I am guessing it is different from region to region) that we all must follow while we are bowling.

Come on, man. I'm just sayin', it wouldn't be my choice. LOL

He probably does some nights, I've seen him on Saturday night a couple of times at West Lane. The guy can bowl, so he is probably in more than one league.

The world is full of "idiots" and you'll need to get better at ignoring them before they drive you crazy.  I'm not sure what motivates people to comment when not solicited as if we really care what they think...

The one thing I have found in my 54 years of living on this planet is this:

THE WORLD IS FULL OF IDIOTS.

I've had pink shoelaces for years. Started wearing them because mine broke one night, and the only ones they had at the center were pink.
I've had many people make many assumptions about me and my shoelaces. I've been accused of everything from being gay to making fun of gays, and from supporting breast cancer awareness to trying to somehow "cash in" on its popularity.

Thing is, I've been doing it for over 20 years. I'm not really trying to do anything except keep my shoes on my feet, and I happen to like the color.

Idiots need targets. It makes them feel all superior and sh*t, and let's them fulfill their life's purpose. You trying to show them up, or get even with them for their behavior, only serves to make you a member of their club as well.

They are idiots. Do yourself a favor, don't join the club.
Learn to laugh, and love, and smile, cause we’re only here for a little while.

If he bowls at PAB I've never seen him before. Sounds pretty memorable.

I suppose you have all the advice you need right now, xrayjay.

Glad you didn't say anything. The desire to put them in their place (when you know they are so wrong) can be overwhelming, but all it winds up doing is placing you next to them in the same position.

Maybe the most appropriate concept here is the truism :

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you to death with experience.

Famous quote by Abraham Lincoln that applies to those who MUST give their opinion even when it's not wanted:

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

Maybe the belly button chained attached to the nipps is a bowler's training aide. Think about it, you definitely wouldn't want to pull up out of the shot at the foul line. If you did, you could very easily rip the chain out of the belly or, worse yet, the nipples! I know I would be posting shots if I had that fear in the back of my mind! Viva la revolution!
