Should I bowl there anymore?
« on: January 01, 2004, 06:26:23 PM »
I bowled a few weeks ago in a house that is about 1 1/2 hours from here.  Some friends there asked me to come down and sub with them and get together.  I might have shot 620.

They run a 5 game sweeper there every Sunday and invited me down so a couple of weeks ago I bowled it.
I'm a lefty and was the top lefty in the field with a +52 for 5.  It took +188 to get a check.

They ran a 16 gamer yesterday and I bowled.  The field wasn't that strong but did have a Team USA member and a Lefty who is a PBA regional champion.  Once again, I was the top lefty with a +130 for 16 while it took +418 to get a check.

The shot doesn't seem that bad but it was pretty easy to miss a little left and leave a bucket along with leaving 30 some 7 pins.

The righties killed that place and guys were crying about "only being +300" while some pretty good lefties where even or a little above.  I played all over the lanes, used every ball in my bag and still couldn't get a reaction that would allow me to shoot any big games.

There are two righties in that house that average over 230 and they both bowled a regional not long ago and both averaged in the 170's for their 9 game block.

Is this a house that I don't need to bowl in anymore?  I've never been one to walk away for a shot and I like the fact that they run some good scratch stuff but I feel that I've bowled there 3 times and have even thrown the ball pretty good to have such a low scoring average there.  The top lefty in that house is about 207.

As I said, I hate to give up but I don't want to continue to beat my head against a wall and paying money out when there hasn't been a way to keep up the scoring pass with the righties in that house.

Hose--Did the right side start out great from the get go or break down a lil as righties burned it up a lil?

Scotts33,  when I was told that they would not do a head  run after 8, I was licking my chops.  However, so on the righties that killed them claimed that they didn't break down much and some were still playing 10 the last game.

The house was in Ft. Smith, AR
