Title: is 15 MPH ball speed fast enough ?
Post by: 2handedvolcano on November 28, 2016, 09:35:05 AM
Or should i try to get 20 mph like Belmo?

It all depends on how much underwear you have showing.

The formula is: A * B/(C-Z) + J

Where A is the current phase of the moon as an integer, B is the total area, in square inches, of your underwear that is showing, C of course, is the constant Speed of Light in a vacuum, Z is the time(In seconds) it takes for Bones to complain about being taken apart by the transporter and J is the weight(in kilograms) of Ms O'Leary's cow after milking.

That depends, Have you calculated your "Rudy Numbers"?

The Rudy Numbers are your Release Strength and Release Energy numbers.

Release strength is related to the Rev Rate and the balls Radius of Gyration (RG).

It takes more strength in a release to get a high Rev Rate. It also takes more strength in a release to rotate a higher RG ball.

So, the Rudy Strength Number is:

"Rudy Strength" = (Rev Rate * RGN) / 500

Note: RGN = "Normalized" RG

The Rudy Strength Number ranges from zero to 10.

Next the Rudy Energy Number is related to the total energy given to the ball by the bowler during the release.

So, the Rudy Energy Number is:

"Rudy Energy" = (Rev Rate * RGN * BS) / 500

Note: BS is ball speed ( some bowlers have too much BS).

The Rudy Energy Number ranges from zero to about 250 (assuming there is someone out there that rolls the ball at 25 mph).

Milo, I am nominating you for the Nobel Prize in Physics. ;D

It also depends on the wind. If it's to your back or is a head wind.A good barometer is in every good bowlers bag !!

No it's not. Throw it as hard as you have to throw it so you can end up under the pin setter when it reracks. Don't let go of the ball.

It depends on how much friction you have available.

Some funny stuff for sure.
But, it may be Volcano who is laughing the hardest.  He is saying to himself........no matter what I put out there these guys respond thinking they are making fun of me.  When it is me who has them dancing to whatever tune (stupid question) I put out there.
He may be smarter then we give him credit for, but then again?????

Is that rotational speed... Belmo's rev speed is 86.704545 mph... You are a bit short with only 15mph..

Well since the bar on how much we give him credit for is sitting on the ground, it's quite possible he deserves an inch off the ground.

Ok I'll bite, what is the purpose of a device to measure atmospheric pressure?

My golf bag contains an anemometer.

Here's a good one for you;  Is bowling 2 handed with a 10 lb tzone too many hands to use to roll a ball with?   I had to say it.      ;D
