Is it time for another BR gathering?
« on: January 13, 2004, 06:52:08 PM »
I checked the post office and all the pictures are down so I think it is safe for the Ballreviews chatters to return to Winston Salem.
If you guys are interested we need to start working on a date. It looks like I will have a busy year this year coaching on the road so I need to get a BR gathering on the calendar. Let's start by everyone interested in attending post a MONTH ONLY...then we can narrow it down. We want to pick a date that the most people can live with. Right now JUNE is already out. I am too booked up that month.

Also let me know if you have any special events you would like to do.
I will offer free coaching to all that are interested. I will also buy the first beer
I am sure we have a lot of new members on the board that were not around for the last gathering. So those of you that were here last time may want to post if you have a good time or not.

This would be at Creekside Lanes in Winston Salem, North Carolina
Where bowling only cost $1.50 a game and the coaching is free....for that weekend

Cool!  I'll look into booking my flight this weekend!  I'm certain the flu will be visiting me Friday the 28th of May

If you can set enough lanes aside one day (Sunday?), I'd like to do another tournament.  4-8 games with several lane conditions.  Only for bragging rights unless people want a prize fund.  I'd be willing to pay extra for the lane preparation troubles.

Ron - What else is there to do besides Bowling and Strip Bars?

The Wife wants to come along and she'll go bowling.  If she comes along then I have to do something other than putting up $1.00 dollar bills in someones thong.

What else is in the area?  Maybe a large shopping mall?

I will try to make it and meet the BR gang.

Since I am a rookie in these bowling matters also. Will a map be provided so I can make it from Nashville, TN. Where to stay.

Rookie, its just a fun thing.  Best weekend you can plan.  I cancelled a tournament just to attend this year.  Believe me, just don't make any snide lefty comments.  Ron will tape you and give you a few pointers on how to improve your game.

Besides, as a "rookie" might just be someone there I can whip up on.

Great chance to put a face with all the names too.

Hi ron
I am new to this site, but I love it already, where have you guys been all my life?  question for you.....how can I improve my backswing.  I push forward, let gravity take the ball down and back, my arm is straight but I also seem to hook it behind my back.  any suggestions on how to stop this?   thanks in advance.   joel

Hey Ron!!  I know this is off topic, but will you have any of your world famous Magic Carpet with you for the seminar this weekend?  I could probably use some after last nights league debacle!!

SrKegler, what exactly was the implication of that "no snide lefty comments" comment;?)

I just booked my flight, rental car, and room.  The Extended Stay America - Haynes Mall is $45/night in case anyone is interested.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone from last year again and meeting up with the new ones.

Just a warning I'll be arriving at Greensboro Highpoint at about 4:30 PM Friday the 28th and leaving Monday about 1PM.
