something I wonder about
« on: May 22, 2017, 03:18:49 PM »
I often see a post where someone complains that a house shot let's guys spray the ball all over the place.  The I see a list where a guy complains that if he tugs the ball it goes light, but if he swings it he goes high.  Doesn't seem like it can be both ways

"revs" and "roll" are two different actions.  It seems that a bowler with "roll" has a  wider area to work with than those with "revs".  Revs are impressive, roll is what does the job!!

Revs and rollnare not mutually exclusive.  High rev rate is an advantage on any type of condition but on sport type patterns lower axis rotation is better.

Hot dogs always complain that a house shot is easy...then they go to the USBC and shoot 499...lol

saw 2 Mr 220's not break 500 at USBC...

same types that complain that house shots are too easy....

Ditto on that, my friend! Had a whole lane full of 215-220+ averaged bowlers, just barely breaking a 500 set at USBC!!! Too funny!
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!

That was me the first 6 times I went. I only bitched like a DB the first time as I had no clue what a tournament shot was and I finally learned a little and improved my game (not really league avg) and was able to bowl 600 in singles/doubles last time I went. House shots do mask accuracy issues. But I would recommend trying the Open if you love the sport and have some humility.
